Google Video Adds Video Ratings, Tags and Comments
Google Video Adds Video Ratings, Tags and Comments
In another step to further socialize the Google Video service beyond sharing and video producer profiles, Google has now added a new rating system, tags and comments to its searchable index of videos.
Adopting more of the basic methods which has propelled YouTube to superstar status, Google Video Rankings are similar to the basic 1 to 5 starred ranking methods used by Google Groups, Google Answers, Yahoo Local and Yahoo Video.

Philipp Lessen adds that in addition to Google Video’s Top 100 List, which seems to be based off of Google Picks and video impressions, the new rating system may give Google an extra criteria of judging the hottest Google Videos.
To further define the video content, Google has also added tagging to Google Video in the form of labels, giving viewers the chance to tag a video by Adding a Label.
Rounding off the Flickrization of Google Video is also an option for user commenting, which adds more user generated content and reviews to the Google Video experience.
